Dr. Gorens is an instructor in Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She is an associate attending at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Dr. Gorens has remained proactive in continuing medical education, training in a variety of procedures and technologies, including Bioidentical Hormones for women and men.

Through an innovative delivery technique, she has helped many patients return to more vibrant individuals, by optimizing their hormones to the levels they enjoyed in the days when they felt their best.

Marsha Gorens, M.D. provides Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy education to women of all ages. Some of the women only complain of symptoms related to low testosterone, and hence, she only replaces testosterone in them. Others have symptoms of low estrogen and testosterone, and Dr. Gorens offers both estradiol and testosterone to them. Dr. Gorens can manage most female related problems since her primary specialty is Gynecology. She also offers the O-shot to enhance the female sexual experience, and can provide devices to strengthen the pelvic floor muscle to aid in urinary continence. Testosterone helps women to reduce mood swings, irritability, sleep disturbances, mental fogginess, low sex drive, reduced energy, and weight loss resistance.

Dr. Gorens also treats low testosterone in men, utilizing the superior method of testosterone replacement, which is the pellet form of delivery. The advantages of the pellets are the slow steady release of Bioidentical Hormones into the blood system that allows for a steady state of hormone balance at all times. Another reason Dr. Gorens is an advocate of pellets is because creams are messy, and they do not raise the blood levels of testosterone to the same levels that pellets can.

Additional Services Provided by Dr. Marsha Gorens:

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

When levels of each hormone are in the right proportions, body systems are stable. When balance is lost, hormone deficiencies and excesses can cause chronic symptoms and disorders, and raise risks for disease. Patients that have tried to figure out what is happening or perhaps treated their symptoms in ways that don’t seem to work, testing hormones may be the first step to feeling better.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Men with a testosterone deficiency often don’t realize they have a medical problem; they just don’t feel like themselves anymore. Men that are unusually fatigued, less interested in sex, unhappy with certain physical changes, or unable to concentrate like they could when they were younger may be suffering from low testosterone, and testosterone hormone therapy may be the answer.
